NetEase Inc (ADR) (NASDAQ:NTES) is scheduled to report its 2Q2016 financial results on August 17, 2016, after the markets close. The management has announced that they would be available to discuss the financial results and answer questions from investors. A replay of the recording would be available on the investor relations page of NetEase’s website. At the same time, SPYR Inc (OTCMKTS:SPYR) is attending three major European Games Conferences. The events would be held in Cologne, Germany, from August 15 to August 21, 2016.

NTES is also working towards building its presence in the virtual reality broadcast technology arena. As per a recent press release, NTES is participating in an $80 million series B funding program, of NextVR. CEO of NetEase, William Ding, expressed confidence in the abilities of NextVR, to become a leader in this industry. He also revealed that NTES plans to use the technology in improving customer experiences, online games and media businesses. Through this investment, NextVR plans to expand its global operations, as well as VR platform. The company had also been asked to deliver hundreds of A-list performances in virtual reality to Live Nation fans.

At the conferences being held in Germany, SPYR is showcasing updates to its new game, Pocket Starships, as well as the unique engine it is developed upon. The game is capable of cross platform functionalities and real-time updates. The three conferences are titled: Game Developers Conference, Gamescom 2016 and RESPAWN. The CEO of SPYR, James Thompson, stated that the conferences would help the company gain better visibility and reputation. He also revealed that an expansion of Pocket Starships would be revealed to industry insiders, at the conference.

Paul Thind, the director of Mobile Games and Apps at SPYR, claimed that three conferences tend to be the biggest gaming conferences in the world. He further reaffirmed the CEO’s view that the conferences would introduce SPYR to industry professionals. SPYR Inc (OTCMKTS:SPYR) was last trading on the OTC, at a share price of $0.278, while NetEase Inc (ADR) (NASDAQ:NTES) was being traded on the NASDAQ, at $211.48 per share, at the close of August 15.
