Sirius XM Holdings has announced that Nissan Motor Co Ltd (ADR) (OTCMKTS:NSANY) will offer a multi-year subscription on SiriusXM Travel Link and SiriusXM Traffic to every customer that purchases a Nissan or Infiniti vehicle.

The subscription offer from Nissan and Infiniti will include comprehensive traffic data that will give drivers a range of information including road closures, traffic flow, construction, traffic speed and accidents on the road. Some of the extra information that will be available include movie listings, weather information, sports scores and fuel prices.

Christopher Lam, the vice president and general manager at Sirius XM Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:SIRI)’s automotive partnerships division stated that more people are purchasing premium vehicles from Infiniti and Nissan. These clients expect that their new vehicles will offer high-quality services and thus the packaged SiriusXM offering will be a great tool towards delivering part of the expected value. Lam also stated that his firm was excited to be chosen by Nissan to offer premium infotainment services. The executive stated that the services will allow customers to easily keep track of traffic congestion in their routes as well as identifying the best fuel prices in near their location.

The offer will also include other SiriusXm services such as music, comedy, and other offers. Nissan will include the package in a numerous 2017 models. Customers that purchase a vehicle fitted with navigation will receive a 3-year subscription to SiriusXM Travel Link and SiriusXM Traffic. Customers with vehicles that do not have navigation will only receive a 3-year subscription to SiriusXM Travel Link.

The customers that purchase the new Infiniti and Nissan models will also have their vehicles fitted with satellite radio and an all access 3-month subscription to SiriusXM’s audio package. Some of the satellite radio packages included in this offer include access to the PGA Tour coverage, coverage of the NBA, NHL, MLB, NASCAR and NFL games. It will also include programming and connectivity to other devices such as smartphones. The offer is expected to attract customers to purchase the new models.
