Tesco PLC (ADR)(OTCMKTS:TSCDY) has selected the first Christmas Tree Lights Untangler of UK to make sure that customers don’t have to go through any Yuletide frustrations during festival season. As per the reports, the selection was made in company’s extra store based out of North Wales.

Insights of The Matter

Anya, a Nottingham resident, went through a rigorous interview procedure, during which she had to untangle three-meter long Christmas lights within 90 seconds. Tesco had conducted a survey before organizing this interview procedure. In this survey, it found that 89% people in Wrexham considered the untangling procedure so frustrating that they would rather buy a new Christmas tree than untangling the old one. Right behind Wrexham were Norwich and Gloucester where 59% people found this entire procedure so frustrating that they would rather avoid it than trying their hands on untangling the lights.

While talking to reporters, Anya said that Christmas is the time when everywhere people try to put different lights to feel happy and enlightened. She is the one that takes charge of this task at home, which makes her the perfect person to handle this job at Tesco. This is rather a tricky job that can leave anyone frustrated. With the kind of experience she possesses, it will be a great fun to help people out in untangling their Christmas lights at Tesco.

The senior management of Tesco is happy to have her onboard and hopes that she will help others having a nice experience during the festive season. According to Paul Birkenhead, Store Manager, Tesco Extra Wrexham, the management found Anya a perfect fit for the jobs after seeing how passionate she’s about Christmas.

It’s the first time when Tesco has come up with such an initiative to help people enjoy their festival without any frustration. It will keep introducing services like this in future also.
