In an attempt to win customers’ heart and get an edge over competitors, Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) has launched new Power Stroke V8 Diesel Engine for F-750 and F-650 lineups. As per the reports, it’s claimed to be good enough to cover over half a million miles distance or more distance than a round trip from Earth to Moon. Ford has implemented B10 design life in the new V8 diesel engine, which accelerates its capabilities to all new levels.

It comes with three diesel power levels:

  • 330 horsepower, 725 lb.-ft. torque
  • 300 horsepower, 700 lb.-ft. torque
  • 270 horsepower, 675 lb.-ft. torque

The B10 rating of this engine is based on the advanced 330-horsepower version.

Insights of Matter

Ford engineering team has used the engine dynamometer testing in the new V8 diesel to be sure about its enhanced capabilities. The miles associated with the new V8 diesel engine represent the estimated distance that it’s expected to cover before requiring first primary service, which leads to dropping of the oil pan and removal of cylinder heads to work properly.

The senior management team of the company is delighted to announce this new product launch. According to John Ruppert, GM – Sales & Marketing, Ford Commercial Vehicle, all the F-750 and F-650 customers significantly contribute towards United States’ growth. They keep the country moving, and Ford wants to ensure they can do so without any hassle. Ruppert further added that with new medium-duty trucks of Ford, users can cover long distances in one go, thus increase their productivity, reduce expenses and save time.

The new Ford TorqShift HD six-speed automatic transmission coupled with 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 diesel engine, offers great power, minimum fuel consumption and excellent performance. The V8 Diesel Engine comes with a five-year/250,000-mile warranty, and users can enjoy Ford’s nationwide service center network. Ford will continue to introduce further improvements in F-750 and F-650 from time to time.
