Mr. Gerald Hammack, the President and CEO of Valmie Resources Inc (OTCBB:VMRI) informed about new additional sources of funding and other technical support and resources accessible to drone technology forthcoming firms.

The association

Last week DJI which is the largest consumer drone firm in the world disclosed a joint venture with Accel Partners. As per the new deal, it intends to invest in upcoming firms in the growing unmanned aerial vehicle industry. This news was made public at the same day when Airware disclosed it started a new venture fund with an objective of making investments in budding firms that are working on technologies crucial to scaling the application of drones for several commercial uses. It indicates that the two major companies are ready to invest in growing firms.

The importance

The CEO of Valmie Resources stated that these two drone-focused funds will play a crucial role in supporting the industry. They will take companies out of early phase of production facilities and university labs. Airware and DJI will work to develop robust drone platforms so as to ensure that commercial clients possess the technology required to operate UAV’s within related sectors.

The scope

Hammack further added that as the Apple’s iPhone and Facebook were a foundation for launch of new mobile and desktop applications, the two innovative funds will offer the platform for commercialization of services and products for the expanding UAV community. It seems as ideal time to focus on services and tools to support commercial applications of drones. The number is going to increase exponentially in the near future. The funds will help portfolios firms to get access to a network of expert advisors.

In last trading session, the stock price of Valmie surged 0.65% to close the trading session at $0.545. The gains came at a thin share volume of 55,179 compared to average share volume of 230,641.
