VOIP-PAL.COM INC (OTCMKTS:VPLM) stated that recently various major media outlets have announced news stories highlighting the tragic loss of life. It has brought in light serious and life threatening problems linked with the outdated 911 system in use across North America. The existing system was installed decades ago before the arrival of modern mobile devices.

The problem

VOIP-PAL.COM further added that as of now 70% of all emergency calls are made from VoIP telephones or mobile and that figure continues to grow as the count of landlines steadily declines. The major challenging task for emergency response executive is the ability to accurately locate the call from a 911 VoIP or mobile caller since wireless telephones are not connected to a fixed address or location. Often mobile devices calls to 911 are misrouted and precise position of the caller cannot be figured out. This problem has led to the tragic loss of property and life.

The assertions

VOIP-PAL.COM asserts that if executed, its Enhanced 911 technology could solve all the existing problems and stop the loss of life linked with VoIP and mobile emergency calls. The Enhanced 911 technology works together with one of the other patents, known as RBR. The objective is to route the 911 call to the most geographically closer Emergency Response Center. It permits the center to decide the precise position of the caller by several methods including the mobile phone’s GPS. This offers Police, Rescue and Fire units the opportunity to find the victims more quickly in emergencies even there is a dropped call.

The management speaks

Emil Malak, the CEO said that they are distressed by recent tragic events that have resulted in loss of life. The company’s Enhanced 911 technology was designed with these exact issues in mind to properly solve the 911 calling challenges.
