SPYR Inc (OTCMKTS:SPYR) reported that in order to excel in the world of web and mobile games, it has engaged successful games industry executive Mr. Paul Thind as company’s MD of Games and Applications. In his new role, Mr. Thind will look after the development, commercialization, monetization and acquisition activities in mobile games and app segment for SPYR APPS, LLC.

In his long career, Mr. Thind has looked after the various operations right from operating and launching to marketing and monetization of mobile and web games for renowned companies. He was associated with 20th Century Fox, designing the launch and marketing strategy for many games including the Family Guy game and Blackmoon Games. He was a developer of Pocket Starships, Spil Games, Inmobi, Kongregate.com and Peanut Labs.

SPYR Inc (OTCMKTS:SPYR) reported that Mr. Thind was also associated with Sulake Corporation Oy on the U.S. launch of the game, Habbo Hotel. It should be noted that Habbo Hotel comes in the list of the most successful free games and community-based operations worldwide. The recent recruitment of Mr. Thind supports SPYR’s plans of extending its operations in the booming mobile games and apps industry.

In early morning trade on Thursday, the stock price of jumped more than 13% and is trading close to $0.299.
