Sequans Communications SA ADR (NYSE:SQNS) reported that Maïlys Ferrère has been elected to company’s board. Ferrère presently leads Bpifrance Large Venture, which is a leading late-stage venture capital financier in French firms for the objective of growing them into international leaders. Georges Karam, the CEO said that they are delighted to have Ferrère join their board. Her extensive experience in the growth management and technology industry will be a remarkable support to company.

Bpifrance Large Venture has put in more than 30 firms in the biotech, greentech and tech spaces. Before becoming a part of Large Venture, Ferrère served as an investment director at the renowed firm Fonds Stratégique d’Investissement. She is even a board member of other firms including DBV Technologies. Ferrère is a graduate of IEP Paris.

On her new role, Ferrère mentioned that Sequans has set itself as a pioneer in LTE for the IoT by launching major technology to the industry with great success. She is delighted to join Sequans’ board, particularly at this thrilling juncture as the firm’s Monarch LTE-M/NB-IoT know-how is starting to execute and gaining momentum rapidly.

Sequans is a major provider firm of single-mode 4G LTE semiconductor offerings for the Internet of Things and different broadband data devices. Established in 2003, the company has advanced and delivered 7 generations of 4G technology. Its chips are approved and shipping in 4G networks across the globe. In the last trading session, the stock price of Sequans gained more than 1% to close the day at $3.43.
