Nuage Networks, the Nokia Oyj (ADR)(NYSE:NOK) venture focused on SDN solutions, reported a notable addition to its roster of international financial consumers with its preliminary SDN-based, large enterprise assignment win in China with CPIC, the nation’s second-largest property insurance firm.

The private cloud SDN assignment, won through Nokia Shanghai Bell, will utilize Nuage Networks VSP in two CPIC data centers. The first one is to integrate the dispersed IT arrangements of 82 branch offices into single unified private cloud platform, and the next to help in testing and building the firm cloud for research and development. As a result, CPIC can record improved flexibility, security and agility, all while streamlining network operations and reducing IT costs.

Nuage Networks VSP will improve CPIC’s efficiency by reducing errors and increasing scale with a centralized policy manager. The offering provides gives CPIC and other financial establishments greater agility to automate the configuration, optimization and management of virtual networks, counting security services for individual applications as well as workloads.
