Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s Google has taken over VMware partner – CloudSimple to expedite moving enterprise workloads to its cloud. As per the terms of the deal, the team of CloudSimple will be part of the Google Cloud. The customers can move on-premises workloads to Google Cloud following tight integration of the products. They can also create new workloads depending on the need. The customers can run apps on the cloud with elasticity and improved performance when compared to on-premises.

Proud of the dedicated team at CloudSimple

Guru Pangal, Chief Executive Officer of CloudSimple, said he is proud of the dedicated and experienced team to develop this service. The team is pleased to be part of Google Cloud and extend helping hand to the clients to move enterprise workloads to the Google Cloud faster and with ease.

CloudSimple OS built on VMware platform

Guru established CloudSimple in the year 2016 to develop a suite that helps to migrate large enterprise workloads to public or private cloud. The team at CloudSimple built their OS on VMware platform to facilitate moving and managing the clouds within public clouds such as Microsoft Azure and Google.

Scalability

The microservices-based platform of CloudSimple is scalable across multiple regions in public clouds. It facilitates building as-a-service private clouds by transforming the data center resources. A single portal allows managing all the private clouds. As a result, the customers will receive alerts, get global support for the private clouds, and access the public clouds.

Senior Vice President (Cloud Provider Service Unit) of VMware, Ajay Patel, said the team would work with Google Cloud because they welcomed VMware Cloud Verified partner – CloudSimple. As a result, the customers of both entities can run all the VMware workloads in the Google Cloud Platform. The clients can safeguard their investments and get benefitted from the familiarity of VMware training and tools with VMware hosted on Google Cloud. They can operate with ease and launch new services to the market at a fast pace in a secured manner.

The market for cloud migration solutions

The market for cloud migration solutions expects to reach $9.47 billion by the year 2022. Google cloud posted an annual revenue run rate of $8 billion in Q2 2019. However, the market share of Google Cloud is less when compared to peers like Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services. Google appointed Thomas Kurian in 2018 to run the cloud group.
